HOW MUCH IS THE INVESTMENT FOR A NEWBORN SESSION?

 

 

WHEN DOES THE SESSION TAKE PLACE?

Ideally, the newborn shooting takes place in the first 21 days of your baby’s life.

During this time, the little ones still sleep quite a bit and are best positioned in the pretty bowls and baskets.

At the beginning of the shoot, I like to swaddle the babies in wonderful clothes. That gives them the safety and security they still know from their time in mom’s womb. Snuggled up so nice and warm, they quickly become calmer and fall asleep more easily.

WHEN SHOULD I SCHEDULE MY SESSION?

Since I do take a limited amount of sessions per month so that I can serve my clients in the most comfortable and flexible way, I recommend booking 2-3 months before the expected date of birth, of course, the sooner the better.

We use your due date as your session date, then once you deliver you will contact me, and we will schedule your exact session date.

However, if you are interested in a newborn photo session at short notice, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sometimes there are still free dates available.

WHAT DO I NEED FOR THE SESSION?

There is very little you will need for the photo shoot, except for your gorgeous newborn! I have a wide variety of props and accessories. I use a space heater to keep the baby’s body temperature warm throughout the shoot, therefore it can be pretty toasty in the room, so I would advise you to wear something lighter or some layers yourself as it can be really warm.

HOW LONG SHOULD I PLAN FOR MY SESSION?

Your Newborn photoshoot can take anywhere from 2-3 hours, depending on how settled the baby is. I always allow for at least 3 hours for each newborn photoshoot to ensure there is plenty of time to stop for feeds and changes. Your newborn photo session should be a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Your baby will always lead the session.

ARE ALSO SIBLING IMAGES POSSIBLE?

Siblings and or parents are always welcome to participate in a newborn session. Please let me know before the shooting if you are considering this option so that I can plan ahead.

WHAT IF MY BABY DOESN’T SLEEP?

Many babies do not sleep through their session. Don’t worry about it, it’s not bad at all.

Some babies are just curious, and others have a little trouble in new surroundings. Some are wide awake the entire time!! We can still create wonderful images, especially when your baby is wrapped, or we can just make intimate cuddle images.

WHERE WILL THE SESSION TAKE PLACE?

The newborn session takes place in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere in my comfortably furnished studio in Oviedo. Newborn sessions are held Monday – Friday at 9.30am.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SESSION?

Once your photo session is over, I will start editing your images. After about 2-3 weeks you will receive an email with the link to your personal selection gallery. There you can choose your favorites and if you want you can order them directly. I will be happy to help you with the selection of other photo products such as albums, canvas prints, wall art, or prints.
